The Pleasant Street School Initiative seeks to repurpose the old Pleasant Street elementary school into a shared-use space for food producers, processors, and other community members through the creation of a shared-use cloud kitchen and community garden, small-scale agricultural plots and child care facilities along with renovating the classrooms into small business incubation studios for local artists and entrepreneurs.
This Pleasant Street School will empower community members to achieve increased economic viability and food access through the use of shared space and programming.
PSS Membership costs will be determined closer to the opening.
Update:
LaunchSpace has engaged an architect and is currently working to secure additional funding to complete Phase 1 of the project. Construction of the kitchen will start next year with a projected summer opening.
